IDC has just released PC market report on Asia Pacific (excluding Japan). It's just a preliminary result, but the stats said that the territory's PC market was increased 8% compared to the previous quarter but declined 5% compared to Q3 last year.
In total, there were 26,6 million units of PC sold in the quarter, in the region. China and India contributed mainly to the increase, Vietnam also. Other countries, such as Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand experienced double digit annual declines.
Top PC manufacturers are Lenovo (27.4%), Dell (11.1%), HP (10.1%), Acer and Asus (7.7%). Compared to the last year numbers, Lenovo gains around 5.8% and Dell about 6.2%. The highest gainer is Asus with 13.3%, while HP and Acer are down 16.1 and 11.2 respectively. Full reports are here.
