Telkomsel has launched commercially their LTE service. For the first step, the biggest GSM operator in Indonesia provides their 4G service in Jakarta and Bali. According to the operator, they already prepared 200 4G BTS in the 2 cities, and spread them all over 200 places. So, where is Telkomsel 4G LTE coverage area in Jakarta and Bali?
For indoor service, they already provides 43 nodes, cooperating with Telkom's WiFi 802.11n network. At malls, office buildings, government buildings, residential area, and of course, at their GraPARI sites. For mall area, the 4G LTE is available at Gandaria City, Pacific Place, Plaza Indonesia, and Kota Kasablanka.
In Bali, Telkomsel claimed that they have already covered around 90% of Denpasar area, Teuku Umar Business District, Imam Bonjol and Sanur. Abut 80% of Badung area, such as Kuta, Legian, Nusa Dua, Jimbaran, GWK, and some parts of Uluwatu have already covered.
For indoor, they covered Ngurah Rai airport, Mal Bali Galeria, Discovery Mall, Beach Walk and Mall Kutabex. Users can also experience 4G at GraPARI Kutabex and at Jalan Diponegoro.
