Normally, the warranty will void if the device is CID (customer induced damage) such as broken caused by accidentally dropped. Plunged into water, or other accidents. But for this case, HTC will cover all. They will replace the broken phone with a new one.
But there's a term and conditions applied. Users can only replace their HTC One M9 once within the warranty period. That is one year. Not bad.
