There's a new data coming on the Internet about smartphone industry in Indonesia. According to the news source, Samsung is dominating the market with 25,47%. Despite the bad news regarding the selling of their flagship, the Korean manufacturers managed to increase their selling quantity year on year.
The most interesting part is the raise of Asus, the laptop manufacturer. Start to sell their Zenfone lineup in Q2 2014, Asus keep increasing their sell through and up to the second quarter of this year, they are already take the number two spot in Indonesian smartphone market.
Other interesting fact is, the other three on top 5 smartphone manufacturers in Indonesia are local brands. Smartfren, Advan and Evercoss. Smartfren is constantly increasing while Advan has a little bit of difficulties but running well. Evercoss is down but they are getting back up.
