Along with the introduction of the latest battery charging feature, Qualcomm also introduced a new line of mid class processors, the Snapdragon 617 and 430.
Snapdragon 617 is expected to put into use by some smartphones in the late 2015's. The 8 core processor supports LTE Cat 7 with download speeds of up to 300 Mbps and upload up to 100 Mbps and 2x20MHz carrier aggregation. In addition, the Cortex A53 based processors also features a dual-ISPs to support cameras up to 21 megapixels.
The other one, the Snapdragon 430 is expected to arise in 2016. Even though it's an entry-level processor, Snapdragon 430 is still worth the wait because it has a top-class camera support and optimal gaming experience.
According to Qualcomm, Snapdragon 430 will debut simultaneously with Adreno 505 GPU and designed to provide a different experience than the Adreno 400 Series, both in terms of speed and efficiency.
Snapdragon 430 supports LTE with Cat4 with download speeds up to 150 Mbps and uploads of up to 75 Mbps, 2x10MHz carrier aggregation, and most importantly, this 430 Snapdragon supports full HD screen.
